A Schuylkill County man currently on parole was arrested earlier this month following a drug sweep of his home.
According to an affidavit filed by the state’s Attorney General’s office, on May 2, authorities executed a search warrant on 607 4th St. in Mar Lin, Norwegian Township, which is the home of Brian Odoherty.
Investigators with the AG’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control say their sweep of the home resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine and methamphetamine residue, a digital scale with white residue on it, a heat sealer and heat sealer bags, small baggies with white residue in the corners, and a tray with suspected meth residue on it. A test of the substances found were positive for methamphetamine, investigators say.
A .38-caliber handgun, a .22-caliber pistol, a .222-caliber rifle, and another rifle were also found in Odoherty’s home, authorities say. Odoherty is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing these weapons.
Odoherty is facing four felony charges for possession of the guns and misdemeanor charges for possession of the drugs and drug paraphernalia.
