Unsolved Thefts: A Yukon Denali, a Weed Whacker, a Pistol, Camping Equipment and More

Yukon Denali Reported Stolen from Gilberton

Police are investigating the reported theft of a motor vehicle in Gilberton earlier this month.

According to State Police-Frackville, the theft was reported after 3:30 a.m. on June 9 from outside a home on Railroad St.

The owner of the white GMC Yukon Denali says he parked his vehicle outside his home with the keys in it after midnight that morning. He woke up at about 3 a.m. and noticed the vehicle was missing.

Police say the stolen Yukon Denali has a registration plate number of LNE-6267. It’s got a Marine Corps sticker on the left side of the tailgate.

Weed Whacker Reported Stolen

A Stihl brand KM94 weed whacker was reported stolen from a location on Bull Run St. in Coaldale on June 18. The item was reported stolen after 2 a.m. that day.

The weed whacker is valued at more than $400.

Pistol, Tactical Knife Reported Stolen from Pickup

A Shenandoah area man says someone stole a pistol and a knife from his pickup truck on Mt. Olive Blvd. in West Mahanoy Township earlier this month.

According to police, the theft was reported on June 14 at about 12:40 p.m.

A gold and black Beretta 92FS 9mm pistol and a PSP black folding tactical knife with window break, and a Social Security card were reported stolen during this incident.

Items Stolen from Shed

Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on June 15, a Schuylkill Township woman says a burglary occured at a property on Lehigh Ave. 

The woman says the suspect entered the property on foot and unlocked a shed. Police say the suspect likely stayed on the property for about eight hours and then fled on foot with the following items: a Coleman camp stove, a Coleman heater, a pair of muck boots, and a yellow rain jacket. 

The total value of all items reported stolen is $300, police say. Their investigation is ongoing. 

Power Tools Reported Stolen from Home Renovation Site

A Minersville man says Makita power tools and other items were stolen from a house on W. Oak St. in Shenandoah that he is renovating. The victim says the theft likely happened in March.

The items reported stolen include a water cooler, a Makita drill, a Makita jig saw, a Makita circular saw, a queen-size mattress, a push broom, and a metal shovel. The items are valued at about $900.

Trespassers Operated Heavy Equipment, Stole Fuel Filters on Mine Property

Police say an unknown actor or actors trespassed onto mine property owned by Ash Resources Inc., of Schuylkill Haven, along Park Place Rd. in Mahanoy Township between 1:40 p.m. on May 23 and 6:45 a.m. on May 27.

While on the property, six fuel filters valued at $55 were stolen. A Caterpillar vehicle was also operated without permission.
